Current examples
One of her oldest friends is practically housebound, mum and her family think she needs to be in a home. Finally that seems to be happening however, we need to keep track of what and when so we can reassure her things are moving and are able to remind her of dates. These conversations take up much of our time doing the day and evening.
Mum seems to have started having seizures, has fainted a couple of times and has been sick on 2 occasions in the last 10 days. More investigation needed but she has no memory of these episodes so we do have to repeat what's happening each time we go to the doctors or have a letter for an appointment. I do find mum reading and re reading the post and she does admit the words in those letters don't seem to make any sense.
Dustbin day usually means she doesn't want to go anywhere so she is here to bring the bin in once they have been.
Doesn't seem to like us doing our washing, thinks we do it far to often.
Getting ready and getting out of the house seems to be taking longer.
Counting the change in her purse to make sure she has the exact change to buy the bottle of milk, only to decide that she really doesn't like this new money.
We have now sorted the power of attorney, all done through the solicitor so she realises it's official. Unfortunately she has forgotten about it and thinks it's the will they have updated.
